I was asked by Andrew to make Manchester Hot Glass‘ studio bathroom window curtain- it is the one thing left still to be replaced in the room that has been renovated over the years.
This piece of muslin is hand dyed and tied many different ways, to mimic the different types of linework in Andrew’s glass. Also, the window is narrow, not allowing for two curtains, so I wanted the piece to feel as if it was already pulled back, even when down. The color is warmer and deeper in red tones than the walls. As you can see from a few of the photos, the muslin is translucent, allowing quite a bit of light in- which is important — that the window gets little sun, and the white areas really pop with light, while still keeping the modesty of the bathroom.
I’ll post some “in room” pics soon. Haha, the fun things I get to do, like photoshoot a bathroom 🙂
