Finally done with all the fine running stitches, 36 rows total. though it may not look it, this piece of green handmade wool felt used to be about ten inches wide, now pulled taut to around four inches or so. The plan is to overdye this with a blending of silver blue, and a dash of black to give the tree bark effect I’m thinking of. the cool feature of overdyeing this piece is that in the process, the felt will thermal form as well- keeping many of the creases and folds I’ve made with the silk thread stitches.
